Larsa followed Genesis, trying to ignore the leers of the adults around them. There was one strange man in a trench coat who had been following him for a while.
Genesis ushered for Larsa to catch up to his side. "There's a man following us. He's been at it for quite awhile, now."
His eyes widened. Genesis noticed it too. He began to shiver, though he wasn't sure why. He had faced much worse in his life. But ever since the fall of Nabradia, he had either Gabranth or Basch to protect him. Whispering, he asked Genesis, "What should we do about this?"
"Wait until he confronts us," Genesis whispered back. "Then, though you and I haven't known each other long, I'll protect us both."
Larsa looked up at Genesis, confused. Why would a complete stranger protect him? Nevertheless, he slipped his hand into his pocket, pulling out a hi-potion. He handed it to Genesis, smiling. "Just in case," he said.
Genesis nodded, slipping the tiny bottle into his pocket. "Okay..." They arrived at the glove section. Took them an hour, but, nevertheless, they got there.
Larsa's eyes widened with happiness, forgetting completely about the strange man in the trench coat. Diving at the gloves, he proceeded to enthusiastically try them on.
Genesis stared at the girly boy. He blinked. "You sure do like--" He was cut off by the man in the trench coat striding down the same aisle.
Larsa turned, his eyes oddly shaped like eyes. He was about to speak to Genesis when he noticed the man in the trench coat. Choosing his words carefully, he smiled at the man from his throne on the pile of gloves. "May I help you?" he asked quietly.
Genesis watched as Larsa's smile faded. The ginger leaned up against a rack of gloves. "Sir?" he asked the man. "Do you need anything?" he said, echoing Larsa.
The man in the trench coat grinned, leering towards Larsa. "You're just as obsessed with gloves as you always were, Emperor." His voice was soft, but it had an undertone of menace. Larsa gasped, recognizing the voice. It was impossible to believe, for his brother was dead, but there was no mistaking that voice. "Brother..." he whispered.
Genesis leaned forward. "Wait... Emperor? ...And brother?" Genesis stood in front of Larsa defensively. "Why are you following us? ...And who are you?"
Larsa walked to Genesis' side, laying a hand on his arm. "Did you not know?" he asked, his voice gentle, "I am the Emperor of Archadia." He turned to his brother. "Brother, how is it that you're still alive?" The man in the trench coat grinned and stepped forward.
Genesis pushed Larsa behind him gently. "Well, if you say that he's supposed to be dead, then I won't take chances." He paused. "An Emperor or not."
The man smiled, pulling a feather from his coat. He let it float to the floor, watching as beams of light began to shine from it. Larsa's eyes widened as he pushed past Genesis. "Vayne, NO!" As the feather hit the floor, there was a bright flash of light. As the light faded, a woman in a feathered headdress appeared, her delicate green hands holding her dress aloft.
Genesis shielded his eyes from the light. When the woman appeared in place of the feather, Genesis pushed Larsa back again. "Stay back, dammit. And..." He turned to the lady and the trench coated man. "....Who are you both? What do you want?"
Vayne grinned, extending a hand to his brother. "I'm this lovely boy's brother, the former Emperor. He took the throne after he and his friends KILLED ME!" His voice raised until he was screaming, his face contorted with anger. "Ultima, GO!" he cried. Larsa frowned, pulling a rapier out of nowhere. He stepped beside Genesis, raising the sword defensively. "I will fight this time, brother. And I will kill you!"
Genesis was pushed back. "Damnit..." He pulled out his own blood red rapier and stood in front of Larsa. At this rate, he'd get struck by Ultima, full blast.
Larsa frowned. This wasn't good, especially with Genesis unused to fighting espers. Holding his hand out, he sent a barrier of magic, surrounding Genesis with a translucent green shield.
Genesis frowned. "I can fight! I fought Sephiroth!" He smacked the green shield childishly. His rapier bounced off with a clang. With his coat trailing behind him, he called. "Heh! If he can summon, so can I!" A large, golden, winged monster appeared before them. Genesis smirked. "...Bahumut Fury..."

And the Emperor was definitly scary.
I didn't play FFXII...
So, having Genesis being that ignorant was actually easy.
I had to ask questions through Genesis's words.
